While the Chamber has always been actively involved in education, our Executive Committee recently formed an Education Committee with the goal of streamlining the business community’s opportunities for involvement with Durham schools.
This committee was formed as a result of conversations between DPS Superintendent Dr. Pascal Mubenga and the Chamber’s leadership team. As a business leader, we know that you recognize education as a critically important component to Durham’s future and we would like to know more about the ways that your company is already engaged with our schools.
Please let us know at a high level the kind of support your company currently offers to Durham schools. You can list it by a broad district level or by individual school, description of the support, how long you have been offering it, and your company’s experience in delivering the support.
Please send your responses to Bryan Fox, Vice President of Public Policy at bfox@durhamchamber.org. A response by June 1 is appreciated.
Thank you for your input in helping improve education in Durham. If you are interested in serving on the Chamber’s Education Committee, please let Bryan know when you share your responses.
