The Durham Chamber of Commerce produces events geared towards our members and community. Executing over 40 in a year, there are events to suit everyone’s needs from educational and informational to networking focused. The Annual Meeting is the Durham Chamber’s largest convening of Durham’s professionals of the year, attracting business owners, decision-makers, and community, civic and thought leaders. This event is hosted in a late-night talk show style for maximum attendee engagement.

Business After Hours provides attendees the prime opportunity to make connections, strengthen relationships, and ultimately grow their business.

Nourish your knowledge and network with area leaders at an exclusive Durham location. Potential locations include on the DPAC stage, the Duke Lemur Center, etc.

First Responders Appreciation Meal Deliveries is an opportunity for the business community to thank those that protect and serve our community by providing lunch. First responders served include: fire, police, EMS, 911 dispatchers, and linemen. Sponsors are encouraged to participate in the meal deliveries.
To Occur: Month of September
Expected Number of Meals Delivered: 1,550+
Travel with local business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to learn from another community on a variety of topics including economic development, workforce development, education, transportation, housing, community safety, sustainability, and more. City for visit to be announced at a later date.

Expected Attendance: 100+
This annual forum and reception provides members an opportunity to meet and thank the 13-county Triangle Region’s elected officials for their hard work in promoting a positive business climate.

Member Appreciation Events are an opportunity for the Chamber to give back and thank you for your investment in the Chamber and the Durham Community. The July event will be held at a Durham Bulls Game and the October event will be Pumpkin Carving.

The key to ensuring all our residents and businesses benefit from our growing economy is understanding its drivers and opportunities. Join us at our Mid-Year Economic Outlook to learn more about Durham’s economic development efforts and how we all are sharing in the growth.

As a new member of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce, a new employee of an existing firm, or an existing member who would like a Chamber refresher, you are invited to attend our New Member Orientation.
Staff members will be available to help you see how to get the best return on your investment with the Chamber. You’ll meet the staff, learn what they do, find out more about the Chamber and meet with your fellow new members.

The Power of Inclusion event series is designed to develop safe, open, and inclusive environments for all to collaborate and co-exist. This workshop style series highlights a specific topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion on a deeper and tactical level, giving business and community leaders additional resources to be inclusive in their everyday and professional lives.

The Small Biz Series is a virtual content driven workshop for those seeking professional development and to sharpen their business skills. Potential topics include HUB certification, Professional Burnout, Financial Literacy, and more.

Durham Women Take No Bull! This event series focuses on empowering women to develop their natural abilities to their fullest potential, supporting women and their workplace allies, and building the workforce’s collective power to advance change. Events during the series may include targeted networking opportunities, luncheons, and workshops.
To Occur: Three times a year

If you are a member and have an event you would like to share with our community, the Chamber is here to provide help.
What our members provide:
- An email at least 4 weeks in advance of your event to chambermarketing@durhamchamber.org with a graphic for your event (.jpeg or .png), date, location, RSVP information, etc.
- All planning and executing of the event. The Chamber is here to help you promote, not plan and execute your event.
What the Chamber provides:
- Post in our weekly newsletter from information provided.
- Like, comment, and/or share member posts on Chamber social media pages.
