Is there anything coming up for Exchange Family Center?

April is Child Abuse Prevention month. When caregivers have the support they need, the risk of child abuse is reduced. A strong relationship with a caregiver is vital to a child’s success and wellbeing. The Exchange Family Center can help build that stronger relationship. April 17th is Pinwheels for Prevention from 12:00-6:00 pm at Wheels Fun Park. Families can come have a fun day and learn more about how EFC strengthens families, enhancing the protective factors that reduce the risk of child abuse. Come see the Photovoices display and see the impact EFC’s had on families and classrooms!

What is your favorite thing about Durham?

The variety. You have a real mix of people, things to do, places to see. You have the city and then you have the Eno river, you have the University and you have businesses, you have a real mix of people racially and socio-economically and all of the diversity comes together to make Durham special.

What is your favorite thing to do in Durham?

So many things..but the main thing is being able to walk everywhere. I can walk from home to the Farmers market, from a show at the Carolina Theatre or DPAC to a local business downtown and also to a Bulls game with my family.
