Ebola Public Information Line 1-800-222-1222
North Carolina has opened an Ebola Public Information Line for people to call with questions or concerns about Ebola.
The information line is promoted on the DHHS Home Page, www.ncdhhs.gov. It links to the Division of Public Health’s Epidemiology Section web page with information about hemorrhagic fever (Ebola). The web page also offers links to additional resources for Ebola information.
The information line was announced Oct. 13, 2014 by Gov. Pat McCrory. It is operated through the Carolinas Poison Center. Responders at the Poison Center can provide precautionary information for people returning from or planning to travel to West Africa, answer questions about transmission of Ebola, and provide information to people who believe they may have been exposed to the disease.
