McDonald York Building Company (www.mcdonaldyork.com) is pleased to announce that as part of their Operational Excellence Program, they have added four highly talented individuals to become members of the operations team and promoted two current team members to Superintendent.
As its new Project Manager, Parker Hawkins brings five years of experience with him managing and estimating high-quality commercial projects. Parker is a Raleigh native, graduating from Broughton High School before obtaining two Bachelor of Science degrees in Construction Management and Architectural Design from East Carolina University.
With eight years of construction experience Alan Ali will surely create an impact at McDonald York immediately. He has developed a strong background in construction, maintenance, and facility services as a Project Engineer. Along with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from NSCU, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
As its newest Superintendent, Glenn Garr brings a wealth of knowledge with him after twenty years in the construction industry. Glenn’s extensive experience in electrical, fire, HVAC, and plumbing systems will prove to be a valuable asset to McDonald York as their market growth continues.
Michael Cutts joins McDonald York as its new Marketing Coordinator. As part of the preconstruction team, he will assist in developing their growing portfolio of regional and national clients. Having spent the last five years in communications and advertising, Michael brings experience from markets in New York City as well as the Triangle area.
Drew Hicks has been with McDonald York since 2011 as an Assistant Superintendent. Recently, Drew proved his ability to oversee important projects, performing the role of Superintendent on multiple commercial interior renovations. His promotion to Superintendent is credited to his success and dedication to his responsibilities on the job site. Drew attended East Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration.
Adding to the growing operations team is another Assistant Superintendent deserving of making the jump to Superintendent. Matt Keene has served at McDonald York since 2013. In the last year Matt took the lead on two large renovation projects, proving to the company that he was ready to do more of the same on future projects. Matt is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management with a Minor in Business Administration.
