The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties (HBADOC) celebrated its 17th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 9th at the Rizzo Conference Center in Chapel Hill.  “Last night was wonderful!  The venue was very classy.  The table setup with name tags and the way everyone was seated went a long way to make everyone feel more comfortable.  I liked the way the presentations were done with the student being on the stage, as it made things more personal.   I would count it as one of our best banquets ever!” said scholarship committee chair Carol Cheek of Cimarron Homes.

The evening ended with lots of laughs, pictures, and well-wishes. The HBA would also like to thank Dr. Gerri Martín, Superintendent of Orange County Schools, for her guest appearance and words of wisdom, as well as the Cedar Ridge High School jazz band for their lively entertainment. The HBA also thanks Builders FirstSource for sponsoring this event!
