Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens its first North Carolina location Wednesday at 3303 Watkins Road just north of the Patterson Place shopping mall. With this opening, Freddy’s has 122 stores across the nation and one in every east coast state from Florida to Virginia. Freddy’s offers a variety of menu items including lean-beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries, as well as a large assortment of dessert treats prepared with your choice of freshly-churned, chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“We hope to be a convenient option for hungry travelers along Highway 15/501, as well as Patterson Place shoppers looking for a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, or a place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends,” said franchise owner Keith Alter. “In addition to providing the best service possible for our guests, we also put a heavy emphasis on giving back to the communities in which we operate. We do have fundraising programs in place, and we look forward to partnering with local schools, area nonprofits and other organizations.”
The Freddy’s concept brings to life the America of the late 1940s and early 1950s, a post-war era of pride and values focusing on unity and quality family time. The newly-constructed, free-standing Freddy’s in Durham features abundant indoor seating, patio dining and drive-thru service. It is the first of four Freddy’s restaurants planned for the area with locations coming soon to High Point, Cary, and Burlington.
