The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce holds several high profile events annually that bring together business and community to celebrate accomplishments of the business community, educate members on various topics and explore a number of issues relevant to Durham and the region. These unique events provide members increased opportunities to make meaningful connections and access to invaluable resources.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is the Chamber’s largest and most anticipated event of the year, attracting more than 700 business owners and decision makers, community and civic leaders, and the regional news media. It features the accomplishments of the Chamber during the previous year, and the passing of the gavel from the outgoing chair to incoming chair. The Chamber also presents its most prestigious recognition, the Civic Honor Award, to an individual that has helped to transform the Durham community.

Durham First Responders Appreciation Breakfast

Held annually on September 11, the First Responders Award Breakfast is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank our First Responders for their dedication, bravery and commitment to the community.

Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception

Held in December annually, the Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception provides members and the community the opportunity to meet and network with Durham and the Triangle Region’s local, state and federal elected officials. This event also serves as a way to thank our elected leadership for working to promote a positive business climate and attracts over 250 business and community leaders.
