Signature Events
The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce holds several high profile events annually that bring together business and community to celebrate accomplishments of the business community, educate members on various topics and explore a number of issues relevant to Durham and the region. These unique events provide members increased opportunities to make meaningful connections and access to invaluable resources.
Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting is the Chamber’s largest and most anticipated event of the year, attracting more than 600 business owners and decision makers, community and civic leaders, and the regional news media. The Annual Meeting features a distinguished keynote speaker, the accomplishments of the Chamber during the previous year, and the passing of the gavel from the outgoing chair to incoming chair. The Chamber also presents its most prestigious recognition, the Civic Honor Award, to an individual that has helped to transform the Durham community.
Economic Development Summit
The Economic Development Summit dives into important issues and topics related to Durham’s economic development successes and challenges. The half-day program brings together more than 200 professionals and features remarks from key business leaders.
Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception
Held in December annually, the Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club provides members and the community the opportunity to meet and network with Durham and the Triangle Region’s local, state and federal elected officials. This event also serves as a way to thank our elected leadership for working to promote a positive business climate and attracts over 250 business and community leaders.
