Today, I had the pleasure of attending another member ribbon cutting. This time, for FastMed Urgent Care. FastMed really prides itself on differentiating themselves from other facilities that offer similar services. So, what does it take to stand out?

Reuel Heyden, FastMed’s Director of Community Relations says its all about the personal touches. “The CEO of FastMed has his personal email information in each exam room, so patients can provide feedback and realize that this is a community conscious company,” he said.

FastMed has other value-adds that include:  registering  for an appointment online,  the ability to download/fill out medical forms in the comfort of your home and their digital x-ray machine  provides patients with their x-rays on CD to take with them to a specialist.

FastMed is open 365 days per year, from 8 a.m.  to 8 p.m. Monday thru Friday and from 9:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on  Saturdays and 10:4 5.am. to 5:45 p.m. on Sundays. There are currently 23 FastMed offices in North Carolina, with six more to open this year. FastMed is also teaming up with local schools to offer $30 sports physicals to students.
