In 1992, Scott moved to Durham and worked in City Planning and Architectural Associates in Chapel Hill with Don Stewart, Bob Anderson and Ralph Lasater. He left to start J.Scott Harmon Architect in 2000. In 2004, Scott and David Arneson started Center Studio Architecture. Center Studios work includes numerous houses, as well as significant loft, restaurant, office and mixed- use projects in downtown Durham.  Center Studio shares a passion for good design, a commitment to the local community and seek clients who understand the deeper impact that good design can have on their lives.  At the end of the day their main focus is that their client is happy. Scott can be found in Downtown Durham either walking the streets, at his office or at Blue Coffee Café.  Another interesting fact is that Scott’s work has been featured on HGTV’s Beyond the Box. Center Studio is a Durham 2.0 Investor and Scott is on the Durham Chamber Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Michael Heuberger has been CEO and president of the American company Freudenberg IT LP since 2006. Before joining Freudenberg IT, Michael Heuberger held a management position at Infor from 1999 to 2005. Among other things, he served as Managing Director of the MES subsidiary and as Product Manager for the core functions of Infor’s ERP systems. In these positions, he was able to gain valuable experience in the areas of human resources, sales, product development, consulting and internationalization. Michael also hosts Oktoberfest in RTP every year and the Durham Chamber always enjoys attending. FIT believes that all companies have the right to simple and straight forward IT services, and they deserve a competent and reliable IT service provider.  Freudenberg IT is a Durham 2.0 Investor and Michael is on the Board of Directors.

Sheena Johnson Cooper worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications with the Durham Chamber for eight years before moving on to the Washington Duke in February 2014.  She took a job with the Washington Duke as the Marketing Manager and continues to grow and thrive as a Marketing expert!  Sheena believes that brand is everything and it is essential to a company’s success. She feels that she has been fortunate to work for two organizations who truly understand what that means. Sheena has been in Durham for 13 years and loves that it has a little bit of everything for everyone and that is also has awesome food! Sheena believes that it is crucial for businesses to be persistent and consistent to be successful.
