This might be a normal week for most in the Bull City, but I will tell you, this is not a regular week…it’s HOMECOMING Ya’ll!

North Carolina Central University celebrates its 2011 Homecoming this week! Eagles from all around the country will descend on Durham this week and I can’t help but have this warm, fuzzy feeling on the inside.  It’s like a big family reunion for seven days straight! Good times people, good times.

For those of you who have not experienced a true homecoming celebration, just make your way down to 1801 Fayetteville St. Believe me, it’s more than tailgating and a football game. The campus comes alive with activities and events for all (click here for the full rundown of what’s going on).

Homecoming is not just an event for students, alumni and friends, but truly an occasion that the entire community should embrace and enjoy as well! Needless to say, as you can see from the above photo, Major the Bull is already in the homecoming spirit!

In the great words of NCCU Founder Dr. James E. Shepard,  “The Eagle is no common, ordinary barnyard fowl.”  So, join us and be a part of something extraordinary! Throw on your maroon and gray and celebrate with the Eagles!
