In nature, a healthy habitat  isn’t possible without diversity.  A community operates the very same way.  Corporate America figured this out many years ago, and it’s making its way to Main Street.  Durham has plenty of that fuel!

Its history is rich in diversity from the vibrant black entrepreneurial community that birthed and thrived here at the turn of the 19th century, to those who followed in that same spirit, like the artists, musicians, academics and the flourishing start-up community, today.  And, despite its enclaves of uniqueness, Durham is a community that comes together as one with great ease.

Its citizens came out in droves to Marry their lovable city, and with great pride displayed the diversity that IS Durham. It has a strong LGBTQ community that’s making significant contributions to the region’s continued success.  To see one aspect of the areas diversity, one need only attend a semi-monthly gathering of LGBTQ professionals from the Triangle who organized for two reasons; to patronize Durham’s varied and oft-touted restaurants in and around downtown, and to “collide” without pretense, in a casual, professional, and fun environment (over cocktails, of course).

Join us at the Bull City LGBTQ Professional Social for delicious cocktails, networking and fun at Alley Twenty Six on Thursday, April 10 from 5:30p.m. until 7p.m. We hope to see you there! Follow us on Twitter at @BCLGBTProMix.
