Durham Chamber Welcomes New Vice President of Public Policy Bryan Fox

The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Bryan Fox as the new Vice President of Public Policy. Fox joins the team on March 12.

His responsibility includes evaluating the issues affecting businesses within the county and throughout the State and region, while working together with the Chamber’s Local, State and Federal Government Committee and the Board of Directors, to develop a legislative agenda focused on the ways in which government can be more effective and supportive of a strong business environment.

“Bryan’s expertise integrates his background in federal and state government with a focus on locally-based initiatives critical to the Durham community,” said Geoff Durham.

“Throughout his career Bryan has demonstrated an ability to understand complex issues and work with all sides to achieve agreeable solutions.”

Fox started his career in federal, state, and local conservation advocacy, has worked on a statewide political campaign, serves on the board of a regional Agribusiness Council, and is an active member of the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA).

Most recently, he directed The Fox Group, LLC, a public relations consulting practice. Prior to starting his own business, he served the 2nd Congressional District as a Field Representative, Caseworker, and Staff Assistant over five-and-a-half years throughout central North Carolina and on Capitol Hill.

Additionally, he helped manage Duke University’s varsity men’s basketball and football programs while earning degrees in Public Policy Studies and Markets and Management Studies, and holds a certificate in Economic Development from the UNC School of Government. Born and raised in the Triangle – plus several years in Memphis, Tennessee – Fox lives in Durham with his wife and their son.
